In 2025, she released "Is the Thrill Gone? An Exploration of Delta Blues," a short documentary highlighting the important role of blues music in modern America and the range of themes and emotional expressions embodied in the art.
Tia McKenzie is also the host of TiaTV. She has interviewed basketball legends such as Penny Hardaway, as well as music artists such as Big K.R.I.T.

Tia McKenzie earned her Master of Arts in Journalism at the University of Mississippi. She served as the music director and disc jockey for Rebel Radio 92.1 FM.
Prior to Ole Miss, she attended Tougaloo College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication. She served as a writer for the Harambee Newspaper, as well as a producer and anchor for Eagle Eye News.
Tia McKenzie currently resides in Memphis, TN. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, reading black literature, and experimenting with new recipes.
